About Me
Welcome to my page! Writing about oneself is never easy, but let me give it a try—I hope the way I see myself is not so different from the way you’ll see me after reading this.
I am a physician and anesthesiologist, graduated in 1991, and started working as a direct caregiver in 1992. In 2002, an influential experience became a turning point in my journey and reshaped the way I think about healthcare. (Click to read my story – An accountable or a second victim).
Over time, I discovered my passion for data and measurement. I believe that quality in healthcare simply means measurement and improvement—because we cannot manage, control, or improve what we cannot measure. (Click to see my work examples).
Beyond data, I value people. I enjoy meeting new individuals, building connections, and finding ways to help them have uplifting experiences. I am often described as a self-motivated team player with strong communication skills. Over the years, I’ve led multiple healthcare improvement projects, guided leaders, and worked with teams at different levels to achieve meaningful results.
I also thrive on challenges. I like to “put a shark in my tank”—new challenges make me feel alive, and if I commit to something, I strive to do it better than anyone else. (Shark in my tank)

On a personal note, I am a dedicated family man, blessed with a family of four. I believe the same skills that guide my professional life—planning, organization, and balancing multiple priorities—have helped me succeed as a husband and father.
At heart, I am a positive person. I enjoy reading, dreaming, and reflecting. I love the beauty of simple things: the sunrise in the morning, the moonlight at night, the sound of old music, the smell of the sea breeze, or watching clouds drift across the sky. These moments remind me how much I love life as it is.

One of the most inspiring experiences in my life came in 2017, when I met Dr. William Tan—an incredible man whose story made me reflect deeply on my own journey. Meeting him reminded me that while we cannot go back and start a new beginning, we can always choose to create a new ending. (The power of dreams)
This is just a short introduction. If you’d like to know more, feel free to read my articles, explore my activities, or browse through my photos. Just don’t expect too much—and keep your sense of humor along the way.
